 Painting the designPainting the design
Using the " angle shader brush and the Deep Rose Madder paint in the shape of the large roses and then with the smaller brush paint in the shape of the smaller roses and the buds.

Whilst this is drying I mix some Hookers Green, Deep Rose Madder, Ghost Gum and Raw Sienna to make a muddy green colour (nearly olive green) and roughly paint in the shape of the darker leaves.

For the lighter leaves, roughly rinse out the brush so that there is still some colour in the brush and remove some of the water from the brush. With what paint is left on the brush paint in the lighter leaves (this gives depth to the design).
